Thankful: Day 8

Just as the title to my blog says, there are SO MANY "everyday blessings" in my life, it's hard to narrow it down to just 30 things I'm thankful for.

Today I'm thankful for the joy that my children bring to my life.  I returned today from being gone 3 out of the last 4 nights.  Justin was a rockstar with the kids...he did it all and I came home to a clean house both times.  The kids were both well taken care of and happy when I arrived back home.  It's a great feeling.

Just as I walked in tonight, both kids met me with smiles and hugs.  Justin had to take off right away so I got to spend an hour of uninterrupted quality time with them.  We played hide-and-seek, took "rides" around the house in the laundry basket, read books, and laughed.  As Alexis was reading me her homework, Austin disappeared for awhile and came back looking like this:

The 3 of us giggled for at least a minute.  This little guy is so funny and so happy 99% of the time.  It can be stressful dealing with difficult kids all day at school but it never fails, I come home and my kids are such a breath of fresh air.  I don't know what I'd do without them.  They bring me SO much joy!

Here are a few more photos from our evening of giggles!
Austin is looking so grown up!
Alexis crashed after a ride in the laundry basket!
  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

When daddy got home, he had some help switching the laundry from his best buddy, Austin!

Thankful: Day 6

Today I'm thankful for fellowship with friends.  I had a lot of fellowship this weekend at the girls weekend scrapbooking retreat and came home to dinner cooked and on the table, clean house, and happy kids.  After dinner we headed to couple's small group to fellowship with friends and grow in our faith.  We are so blessed!

Thankful: Day 5

Today I'm thankful for jobs.  I was blessed with the gift of money management and without a job, I wouldn't have any $ to manage.  I am thankful for the steady income from both Justin and my jobs.  It's easy to take that paycheck for granted but I am very, very thankful for it!

Thankful: Day 4

Today I'm thankful for time away to relax, laugh, eat, and scrap with some old girlfriends.  For the 7th year in a row, I am at an annual "girls weekend" retreat.  I look forward to this every single year.  I'm one lucky girl!  :)

Thankful: Day 3

Today I'm thankful for my kids. I know I post about them a lot but they truly are such a breath of fresh air for me. I love them and their cute little unique personalities so much. I know that our story could be much different. I almost lost my own life the day Alexis was born so I wake up and thank God every SINGLE day that I am alive and I have the kids that I do. I love them to the moon and back!

Thankful: Day 2

Today I'm thankful for my husband.  He's a great husband and an even better daddy.  Our kids adore him.  He spends time with them playing ball, taking them hunting with him, watching Texas anything on TV with them, wrestles with Austin and (as you can see in the picture below),  dances with Alexis.
We went on a date last weekend to see the movie Courageous.  SUCH an awesome movie!!!  The purpose/message of the movie is to reach dads and inspire them to become more involved in their kids lives.  We all lead such busy lives but as I can see first hand at school, having an involved daddy really does make the world of a difference in the life of a kid.  It's amazing and I am SO SO thankful for Justin and his involvement in our kid's lives.  I love you honey!  :)

Thankful: Day 1

I'm joining the "Facebook bandwagon" to give thanks for something every day in November in honor of Thanksgiving.  Since my blog is titled Beautifully Blessed, I talk about my blessings all the time but instead of doing this on Facebook, I wanted to Blog about them so I could come back and read them later or scrapbook about them if I felt like it. These blessings are in no certain order...here we go!

Today I'm thankful for BEAUTIFUL fall weather.

We went on a family bike ride in the (almost) 70 degree weather this afternoon.  The leaves were so pretty and the sun was beginning to set.  My only regret:  I didn't bring my camera. Darn!  Oh well.....I soaked up the time with my family and the beautiful weather instead.

I found this photo on Google images....this is about what some of the streets looked like tonight on our bike ride.  Such rich colors.  I love fall and all of the colors God blessed us with...gorgeous!
